Hundreds of volunteers needed on Sunday, December 2! Join National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) to give away 85,000 clothing items and children’s books to more than 5,000 in-need and at-risk individuals in our community–many of them from shelters. This annual event will be held in the parking lot of NCJW/LA Council House, 543 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, 90036.
Shifts are three to four hours, and a light breakfast and volunteer T-shirt will be provided. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Groups are welcome and encouraged. Volunteers also are needed the day before the event to help sort clothes and books. Street parking is available nearby.
Volunteer shifts:
• Saturday, Dec. 1, 8 a.m.-12 noon
• Sunday, Dec. 2, 6:45 a.m.-10 a.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 2, 9:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
