Nosh, schmooze, and make business connections at a meeting of the new Santa Monica chapter of JNET®, the Jewish Business Networking Organization. Chapter meetings are hosted by the Sisterhood of Congregation Kehillat Ma’arav.
All Jewish professionals are invited to attend. There is no cost for first-time guests and no reservation is required. Members include a diverse cross-section of professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, executives, and tradespeople from the private and public sectors.
The featured speakers for the meeting are JNET® members Prissi Cohen of ProPatient Advocacy on "When Do You Need a Patient Advocate?” and Rabbi Avivah Erlick of L.A. Community Chaplaincy Services on “Why ‘Jewish Chaplain” Is Not an Oxymoron.” In addition, each attendee will have the opportunity to give a 30-second introduction about their business.
According to realtor Susan Stone, vice chairman of the board and public relations director of JNET, "The goal of each member is to help other people grow their businesses. It is similar to how a chamber of commerce works, but it is smaller and everybody is Jewish and we meet at temples.”
Annual JNET membership is $65, which includes a featured speaking opportunity every six months and the opportunity to attend the meetings of all 10 JNET chapters.
The next two JNET Santa Monica meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 14, at 9 a.m.
For more information, contact Dana Bigman, communication chair of JNET Santa Monica, at 310-478-6596 or santamonica@jnetonline.org.
